This British sports car was instantly popular when it was first released to the market in 1953, and it continues to be popular today with several thriving networks of regional, national, and worldwide enthusiasts clubs. The Austin-Healey convertible top is considered one of the great icons of the 1950s and 1960s.

The Austin-Healey roadster convertible top was more than just a pretty face. Several land speed records were set at Bonneville Salt Flats by an Austin-Healey. Austin-Healey soft tops were also successfully raced at Le Mans and other rallies worldwide.

Originally conceived as a joint venture between the British Motor Corporation's Austin division and the Donald Healey Motor Company, Austin-Healey convertibles were produced for twenty years, until the original contract between the two companies ran out. At which point, the Austin-Healey soft top became an instant classic.
