The Suzuki Sidekick has been known by many names, being also sold as the Geo Tracker (later the Chevrolet Tracker), the Suzuki Vitara, and the Pontiac Sunrunner. This compact SUV features several Suzuki top options, including a 2-door convertible top on the smaller SUV platform. The Sidekick became popular due to its small size, its then-innovative body style, its relatively low price tag, and its easy customizability.

Suzuki soft tops have always been a popular choice, whether on-road or off-roading. Being able to drop the convertible top and enjoy the sun is a great feature, if you are out in the wilderness or cruising around town. The Suzuki Sidekick soft top lets you enjoy the weather no matter where you are.

Sold under a multitude of model names (including the Santana, SJ413, and the Sierra), the Suzuki SJ series was known as the Samurai in North America, where it was introduced in 1986. Americans quickly appreciated the pleasure of a small 4WD vehicle available with the Suzuki soft top option for sunny days either on-road or off.

The Samurai soft top particularly enjoyed fame within the community of off-road enthusiasts. As a small, lightweight off-road vehicle with true four-wheel drive, the Samurai had a reputation for being as maneuverable as it was reliable. And the Suzuki Samurai top options of either a soft top convertible or a hard top helped boost its sales.
